Brazilians abroad

According to the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations, the brazilian community outside the country has between 2.059.623 and 3.735.826 people around the whole world.

They don't have an exact number of people because there isn't a formal record by the brazilian's diplomatic offices of how many people arrive to the foreign countries temporarily.

The data is based on the result of consults made in the end of 2007 at embassys and consulates about the minim and maxim numbers of brazilians overseas according to local data, academic research, midia publications and diplomatic movements.

I'm sure than the number of outside brasilians is really more than reported for Ministry of Foreign Relations. Any country where I'd been, i always saw some brazilians that was working (making money) in pubs, hotels ...

I'll talk about it on my post... an enterview with a brazilian woman who lived 10 years in NY... she told me that she knew a lot of illegal immigrants there and is very common this fact. Is almost impossible calculate the number of brazilians outside the country.

I watched the american secretaire of Foreing Relations talk about it in Salvador. Manoela is totally right when she mentions that the number is almost impossible of being counted, the USA, for example, have an enormous dificult controling their borders. Great M. love u monster ;)
